Theatreworks offers fall ballet classes

Theatreworks ... Live Inc. will offer fall classes at County Ballet, 2232 Old Emmorton Road, Bel Air.

Programs include:

Theatreworks Jr.: for ages 4-7 at 9 a.m. Saturdays Sept. 23 to Nov. 11. The cost is $50.

Musical Theatreworks: for ages 8-17 at 10:15 a.m. Saturdays Sept. 23 to Nov. 23. The cost is $80.

Acting FUNdamentals: for ages 11-17 at 6:30 p.m. Fridays Sept. 22 to Nov. 10. Tuition is $75.

Ladew to hold 35th-anniversary gala

Ladew Topiary Gardens will hold its 35th anniversary gala, "Baby Let's Dance," at 7 p.m. Sept. 29 in the Hunt Scene Garden of the grounds at 3535 Jarrettsville Pike, Monkton.

The event will feature a Roaring '20s-style celebration with flappers in glittery costumes and period music by New York's Michael Carney and his orchestra.

The 21 Club's executive chef, John Walsh, will provide 1920s-style food.

Attire is black tie or speakeasy best.

International sporting artist Henry Koehler will attend to open an exhibit of his latest paintings in the Barn Gallery. The exhibit and sale will open to the public from Sept. 30 to Oct. 22.

Koehler has shown his work of steeplechase races and the hunt around the world. His paintings have been bought by Malcolm Forbes, the Prince of Wales and Ralph Lauren.

Tickets to the gala are $350.
