Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Arrests -- Eric Hicks of the 4000 block of Wilsby Ave. was arrested Monday on Ailsa Avenue by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. Hicks, 21, is accused in the beating death of Kimberly Skyers, 32, whose body was found April 11 in the 2600 block of St. Benedict St. Nicholas Floyd, 22, also charged with murder in the killing, was arrested Wednesday at the Western Maryland Correctional Institution near Cumberland, where he was imprisoned for an unrelated offense.


Victim identified -- Police have identified the man found fatally shot Aug. 21 in a car parked in the 3700 block of Beehler Ave. as Kevin Sharpe, 35, of the 2100 block of N. Fulton Ave.

FOR THE RECORD - A police blotter item published in yesterday's editions of The Sun inaccurately described criminal charges filed against Derrell Coates, 22, stemming from the shooting September 2004 of Carl Dubose in Northwest Baltimore. Dubose died as a result of his wounds, and Coates was charged with first-degree murder.
The Sun regrets the error.

Arrest -- Derrell Coates, 22, of the 3800 block of Dorchester Road, was arrested Wednesday in the 3600 block of W. Cold Spring Lane on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Coates is accused of shooting Carl Dubose, 26, in the 3800 block of Liberty Heights Ave. on Sept. 6, 2004.


Victim named -- Damien Sturdivant, 21, of the 2900 block of Carver Road, has been identified as the man who was fatally shot early Sunday in the 2800 block of Round Road.

Carjacking -- A Waverly man was stopped in the 2800 block of Round Road about 3 a.m. Monday when three men forced him from his blue 1998 Mercury Mountaineer, robbed him of his wallet and took the vehicle with tags 745M227.


Arrest -- Police monitoring a surveillance camera in the 300 block of Eutaw St. about 1 a.m. Monday observed a teenager with a handgun in his waistband. The youth was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a handgun.


Victim named -- Police have identified the woman found shot to death in an alley the 2500 block of Jefferson St. Aug. 25 as Juliet Robinson, 35, of the 500 block of N. Curley St.


Robbery -- An 18-year-old woman was walking in the 2900 block of St. Paul St. about 8 p.m. Tuesday when a man stole her purse containing cash and property -- all valued at $165.


Shootings -- A woman, 48, and her son, 20, were each shot about 10:20 p.m. Wednesday while standing outside their home in the 1500 block of McKean Ave. The woman was shot in the right foot and was treated at Sinai Hospital. Her son, who police said was the intended target, was shot in the upper body and both arms and was in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Baltimore County


Robbery -- A woman, 28, was stepping from her car in the first block of Fellowship Court about 9 p.m. Wednesday when she was attacked by two men who robbed her of her purse containing a wallet and a cell phone.

North Point

Burglary -- More than $500 and credit cards were stolen from a house in the 4100 block of Maple Path Circle while the occupant was away for several days.


Burglary -- Coils of copper wire, the property of Summit Electric in Carroll County and valued at $7,000, were stolen Tuesday from a storage area in the 700 block of Timber Road.


Robbery -- The manager of Damon's Grill in the 100 block of Shawan Road was leaving the business about 9:45 a.m. Monday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him.
