Joe Crede, third baseman, White Sox -- He was 12-for-26 (.462) in his past six games before last night. Crede's 28 homers and 87 RBIs are career highs, and the lifetime .265 hitter is batting .301.

Dan Uggla, second baseman, Marlins -- Florida's 26-year-old rookie was 11-for-22 (.500) with two homers and nine RBIs in his past six games before last night. With 21 home runs and 79 RBIs, Uggla has been one of the league's biggest surprises.

C.C. Sabathia, pitcher, Indians -- He is 2-0 with a 2.65 ERA in his past two starts. Sabathia has thrown a league-high five complete games and has thrown at least seven innings in eight straight starts.

Alex Rodriguez, third baseman, Yankees -- Before last night's game against Detroit, he was in a 2-for-23 (.087) slump with 14 strikeouts and had homered just once in 15 games. He needs 10 homers to avoid his lowest output in nine years.

Chase Utley, second baseman, Phillies-- He was 3-for-20 (.150) in his past six games before last night and had homered once in his past 28. Still, Utley has set career highs in hits and runs and is on pace to bat over .300 for the first time.

Jake Peavy, pitcher, Padres -- San Diego's 25-year-old ace has been a disappointment for fantasy owners. He has lost a career-high 13 games and allowed five earned runs in 4 1/3 innings in his last start.
