BEST BITE

Our favorite dish was the Pork Bowl, $6.29. Small chunks of marinated pork and chopped onions lay on a sizable mound of soft white rice. The pork was dotted with hot pepper paste, which gave it a delicious kick. In our book, a little spice is always nice.

ALSO TASTED

The meat in the Beef Bowl, $6.29, was seasoned with sesame oil and sugar instead of hot pepper, which made it sweeter, less spicy and a little greasier than the pork. It also came on a bed of rice, with chopped lettuce and onions.

The Salad She Made, $6.29, had a mix of crunchy baby broccoli florets, crisp lettuce, cucumber and carrot slices, tomato wedges and a few thin slabs of lightly browned, mostly bland tofu. There was a decent amount of vegetables -- and also plenty of variety.

The Dumpling She Made, $5.24, is almost an entree in itself. It included seven veggie dumplings, crisp around the edges but warm, tender and tasty in the middle. A container of soy sauce with pepper and sesame seeds came on the side.
