Benefits of exercise sessions -- The Baltimore County Department of Aging, in partnership with Towson University and the Maryland Department of Mental Health, will offer free sessions on how exercising can help health management. Indoor walking program -- White Marsh Mall, 8200 Perry Hall Blvd. / Sponsored by Franklin Square Hospital Center, Mommies in Motion invites new mothers to bring their babies (in strollers) and learn exercise routines. Medical fitness -- Union Memorial Hospital, 201 E. University Parkway / A physician-referred program for people who can benefit from clinical supervision during exercise, such as those with arthritis, asthma, cancer and diabetes. Registration: 410-554-2877.

Screenings

Stroke prevention and osteoporosis screenings -- Life Line Screening offers ultrasound and bone-density screenings to gauge risk of a stroke or osteoporosis in the Baltimore area this month. A stroke-prevention screening is $109, and a stroke and osteoporosis screening is $129. For locations and to register, call 800-697-9721.
