George Alvin Garrison IV, 24, college student

George Alvin Garrison IV, a college senior and former Baltimore resident, died Aug. 10 in an automobile accident in Elk Creek Township, Pa. He was 24.

Mr. Garrison was a passenger in a car that hit a tree and caught fire. He was pronounced dead at the scene, family members said.

Born in Baltimore and raised on Henrietta Street, he was a 2000 graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School in Irvington, where he had been a member of the varsity track team and National Honor Society, and had performed with the drama club.

He was completing his final semester as a business major at Edinboro University in Erie, Pa. He enjoyed swimming and playing basketball.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 3202 W. North Ave.

Surviving are his father, George Alvin Garrison III of Baltimore; his mother and stepfather, Sharon Mack and John A. Mack of Baltimore; two brothers, Devon Roberson and Raymond Mack, both of Baltimore; a sister, Tashawna Mack of Baltimore; and a special friend, Bobbielyn Dibble of Erie.
