Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.

BALTIMORE

WESTERN

Arrest -- Annette High, 47, was arrested Aug. 10 at her home in the 1600 block of Mountmor Court by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging her with the beating death of a neighbor's 14-month old daughter she was baby-sitting. Kayah Jackson of the 1600 block of Vincent Court was admitted to University of Maryland Medical Center on April 17 with injuries to her chin and neck, and died that night. The state medical examiner's office ruled the death a homicide.

Southwestern

Arrest -- Davon Pearson, 18, of the 800 block of Vine St., was arrested Aug. 10 at the District Court in the 700 block of E. Patapsco Ave. on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder. Pearson, who was in court on an unrelated charge, is accused of shooting Howard Jones, 36, in the head Aug. 3 in the 2600 block of Dulany St.

Northern

Shooting -- A 19-year-old man was escorting a friend to her home in the 3900 block of Wilsby Ave. about 12:05 a.m. yesterday when a man stepped from a car and shot him in the abdomen before driving away. The victim was released after treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Central

Theft -- Police were seeking five young males who stole another's cell phone during an argument Sunday night in the first block of W. North Ave. The cell phone was valued at $100.

Southern

Assault -- A 50-year-old man was in the bedroom of his home in the 1400 block of Kuper St. about 5:30 a.m. Saturday when another man entered and cut him on both legs with a knife. The victim received medical treatment at the scene.

Burglary -- A purse, several model NASCAR vehicles, video games and a Baltimore Ravens jersey - valued together at nearly $700 - were stolen Saturday from a house in the 4200 block of Morrison Court while the occupant was sleeping.

Burglary -- Tools and welding equipment valued at $2,510 were stolen over the weekend from Jim's Auto Repair in the 5300 block of Pennington Ave. by someone who entered through a side door.

Stolen vehicle -- A four-door black 2002 Dodge Intrepid with tags 9BT Z07 was stolen Saturday in the first block of S. Calhoun St.

Stolen vehicle -- A green 1999 Dodge van with tags 094M969 was stolen Saturday in the 200 block of S. Calhoun St.

Burglary -- Someone entered a house in the 800 block of Bethune Road on Saturday through a kitchen door, stole a set of keys and drove off in the occupant's silver-colored 2002 Hyundai Sonata with tags 7CA PO1.

Baltimore County

Essex

Carjacking -- The driver of a purple 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser was standing outside the vehicle at a BP station in the first block of Carroll Island Road about 3 a.m. Sunday when a gunman robbed him of his keys and stole the car. About 5:15 p.m. yesterday, police stopped the car in the 5200 block of Campbell Blvd. in White Marsh and detained its occupants. Charges were pending.

Parkville

Burglary -- Jewelry valued at $1,200 was stolen Sunday from a house in the 4100 block of Loch Arrow Road by someone who entered through a bedroom window.

Wilkens

Burglary -- Two bicycles were stolen over the weekend from a shed in the 500 block of Westside Blvd. They were valued at $600.
