Steely Dan and Michael McDonald -- Nissan Pavilion / Steely Dan's heyday was in the 1970s, when its jazz rock sound exploded. Although it has elements of funk, R&B and pop, the music centered around jazz arrangements. The band is known for picture-perfect sounding studio recordings and elite songwriting skills. Opening the show is former bandmate and former Doobie Brothers member Michael McDonald. Steely Dan plays the Nissan Pavilion at Stone Ridge, 7800 Cellar Door Drive, Bristow, Va., Sunday. Boot Camp Clik -- Sonar / Boot Camp Clik is a hip-hop supergroup from Brooklyn, N.Y. Early 1990s albums by its members are considered underground hip-hop classics. Last month, the group released its third group album, The Last Stand, featuring the return of Heltah Skeltah. Boot Camp Clik plays Sonar, 407 E. Saratoga St., Tuesday. Christopher Cross -- Rams Head Tavern / Along with Norah Jones, Christopher Cross is one of two artists ever to win all of the "Big Four" Grammy Awards in one year: best record, album, song and new artist. The adult contemporary songwriter also won the Oscar for best original song in 1981 for "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," which he co-wrote with Burt Bacharach.
