No playoffs for Bayhawks

BOSTON -- Chris Garrity (St. Mary's High School) made a game-high 25 saves and the host Boston Cannons totaled nine points in the fourth quarter to power past the Bayhawks, 23-16, in front of 6,748 at Nickerson Field last night.

With the loss, the Bayhawks (4-7) are eliminated from Major League Lacrosse playoff contention and will not advance to the postseason for the first time in the league's six-year history. Meanwhile, the Cannons (8-3) remain one game behind the Philadelphia Barrage for the Eastern Conference lead.
