Howard History

August 06, 2006

From The Sun, Aug 9, 1989, edition: Wilde Lake High School has promoted its junior varsity boys soccer coach, Dave Nesbitt, to boys head varsity coach for the coming season.

Nesbitt, 47, replaces Reg Hahne, who left to take the boys head soccer coaching position at Atholton High.

[Nesbitt] thinks that Howard and Oakland Mills will be the teams to beat this season because they return so many players, but that Centennial can't be ruled out. "Bill Stara does a real good job of coaching at Centennial," he said.

Oakland Mills coach Don Shea said he thinks that Nesbitt brings some additional professionalism to the county's soccer coaching ranks and is a good choice for the job.
