HCC board to hold open session

The board of trustees of Harford Community College will meet in open session at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Chesapeake Center Board Room.

The public may address the board at a specified time. Anyone wishing to speak must complete a request form and return it to Marketing and Public Relations before the meeting.

Speakers are limited to three minutes, unless the presiding officer allows more time. Topics must relate to college concerns but should not include personal attacks, employment or employee-related matters, real estate transactions, or unprofessional or inappropriate language.

Registration open for fall semester

Harford Community College is holding registration for fall semester 2006 credit courses in the student center, 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, through Sept. 2.

Walk-in registration will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday. Expanded hours will be held Aug. 12 to Sept. 2 (closed Sept. 4) from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

Fall classes begin Sept. 5.

Students also may register for courses by mail or fax through Sept. 2.

Online registration is continuous through Sept. 4 at www.har ford.edu.

Students may call HCC's Advising, Career and Disability Services at 410-836-4301 to make an appointment for a one-stop session or to meet with an academic adviser.

Students who have never attended HCC, or who attended before spring 2004, should complete an HCC application for enrollment before registering.
