LYNNE SOCHOR BOYD, 55, of Pocomoke City, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, August 1, 2006. Born, July 25, 1951 in Camden, New Jersey, she was a daughter of Phyllis R. Sochor of Pocomoke City and the late Milton J. Sochor. She was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Pocomoke City, serving in the choir, as Senior Warden and as a worship leader. Lynne was the Program Director of Mental Health at the Worcester County Health Department and was responsible for innovative and nationally recognized programs benefiting children and adults. She will be missed by her family, church family, co-workers and friends. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Crawford L. Boyd III of Denver, CO; a daughter, Jessica L. Boyd of Pocomoke City; a brother Richard L. Sochor of Annapolis and a niece, Marisa L. Sochor of Crownsville. A memorial service will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, August 6, 2006 at the All Hallows Episcopal Church, 109 W. Market Street, Snow Hill, MD. The Rev. Gregory Powell will officiate. Lynne's family and church family will hold a reception, following the service, in the Parish House of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 18 Third Street, Pocomoke City, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions, which will be directed to the Gulf Coast Relief Efforts, may be made in her memory to St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 18 Third Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
