August 03, 2006|By KATIE CARRERA

Last year's first-round draft pick, wide receiver Mark Clayton, had 44 receptions for 471 yards. He also scored three touchdowns.

Who was your football idol growing up?

Barry Sanders.

Why Barry?

He's just simply amazing. A guy his stature? He rarely ever got touched. Nobody ever really tackled him, they just always tripped him up.

When you were growing up, what other sports did you play?

I was into baseball, basketball, soccer. I actually went out for our golf team, ran track. I was just all across the board.

Why did you lean toward football?

I've been playing since I was 6 so it was a little more natural than the others.
