Anchor Baptist hosts Bible school

Anchor Baptist Church will host vacation Bible school from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Aug. 3 at 320 W. Pasadena Road, Millersville.

The theme is "The Great Qumran Quest."

Bible school fair set for tomorrow

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach will have a vacation Bible school fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at 17 Somerset Road, Pasadena.

It will include games, face painting, miniature golf, prizes, hot dogs and drinks.

For the drawings, you must be present to win.

Registration for vacation Bible school will be available. Bible school will run Sunday through Aug. 4 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for all ages. The theme is "Arctic Edge."

Riva Trace Baptist holds sports camp

Riva Trace Baptist Church will hold its first summer sports camp from 9 a.m. to noon daily next week at 2990 Riva Trace Parkway, Annapolis.

Summer camp is open to children entering first grade through fifth grade.

Participants will learn teamwork, sportsmanship and build character.

St. Philip's holds annual crab feast

St. Philip's Episcopal Church will hold its annual crab feast from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow at 730 Bestgate Road, Annapolis.

The feast will include a meal and beverage.

Dessert will be available at the bake sale.

Proceeds will benefit St. Philip's Family Life Center and community events.

The cost is $45 for adults and $20 for children ages 7 to 12. Advance sale tickets will be discounted.

No carry-out is available.

`Treasure seekers' at Pasadena United

Pasadena United Methodist Church will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon daily starting Monday through Aug. 4 at 61 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena.

The theme is "Adventure of the Treasure Seekers."

The cost is $5 per child and open to children ages 4 to 11.

Christian Science group to meet

Eastport United to hold festival

Eastport United Methodist Church will be have its 31st annual Peach Festival and flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 5 in the fellowship hall at 926 Bay Ridge Ave, Annapolis.

The craft boutique sale and bake sale will be from noon until 5 p.m.

Carryout dinners will be available.

The cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Advance sales will be taken for peach cakes or pickled beets.

Jenkins Memorial plans Bible school

Jenkins Memorial Church will present "Adventure of the Treasure Seekers" vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 to 11 at 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena.

This lesson will incorporate the world of archaeology into Bible study. There will be daily digs during the "adventure," so children can explore the Bible and find Scriptures.

Photography exhibit at Woods Memorial

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church is showing Creation, an exhibit by the Arundel Camera Club, through Aug. 20 in the church gallery at 611 Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd., Severna Park.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and by appointment only on weekends.
