An employee in his 50s was found dead yesterday at a talent agency in Hanover, and Anne Arundel County police said he might have been slain.

Police would not identify the victim because his family hadn't been notified, police said.

The man was found about 9 a.m. by a 20-year-old employee arriving at the business, Annapolis Talent Agency/Kidz in the Biz, police said.

Homicide detectives and two mobile crime lab units were sent to the office complex, the Baltimore Commons Business Park on the 7400 block of New Ridge Road.

The victim suffered from trauma to the upper chest, police said. They would not elaborate. But several employees of nearby offices who were interviewed by detectives said the victim had been shot in the chest.

Twenty-two complaints have been filed against Annapolis Talent Agency/Kidz in the Biz in the past three years, according to Kevin Enright, a spokesman for the attorney general's office.

On its Web site, the company bills itself as "Maryland's oldest agency for actors, models, singers, dancers, and narrators."
