A Baltimore woman died when her car collided head-on with a tractor-trailer in Glen Burnie on Saturday afternoon, Anne Arundel County police said yesterday.

Shelby J. Burns, 68, of the 3600 block of Everett St. died at the scene of the crash on Ordnance Road east of Blades Lane just before 1 p.m., police said.

James D. Lee, 52, was driving a tractor-trailer pulling an empty oil tanker eastbound on Ordnance Road when it crossed the center line and collided with Burns' westbound Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra, police said. The tractor-trailer skidded about 225 feet and the Oldsmobile spun around, stopping on the eastbound shoulder, police said. Lee, of the 20600 block of W. Liberty Road in White Hall, was not injured, police said.

No charges have been filed, but the state's attorney's office will review the incident, police said.
