Bayhawks tonight

July 22, 2006|By DAVID SELIG

Matchup -- New Jersey Pride (3-5) @ Bayhawks (3-5)

Site -- Johnny Unitas Stadium

Time -- 7

Outlook -- A long shot to reach the postseason, the Bayhawks need to beat the team tied with them at the bottom of Major League Lacrosse's Eastern Conference to stay in the hunt. The Pride had lost 11 consecutive games to the Bayhawks before winning the June 11 matchup, 22-15, in New Jersey. Scott Urick, who tops the Pride with 30 points, scored four times in that game. Veteran attackman Mark Millon (29 points) leads a Bayhawks team that would set a franchise record for losses in a season with another defeat. The Bayhawks upset first-place Boston, 19-12, in their final game before the league broke for the World Championships.
