A Finksburg man suspected of stealing a police car July 15 in Frederick County is being held without bond in the Carroll County Detention Center after he was arrested Thursday, said Carroll County authorities.

Daniel J. Cadden, 25, was driving on Teeter Road in Taneytown when a deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, police said. The driver sped onto Kump Station Road, drove into a cornfield and then fled on foot with his passenger, police said. After barging into a house and jumping from a window, police said, Cadden and Nicole Lee Tyler, 24, of Taneytown were arrested and taken to Carroll County Central Booking.

Bail was set at $27,500 for Cadden, authorities said.

Cadden is accused of driving off in a Frederick County sheriff's deputy's cruiser last weekend as the deputy investigated a crash scene.
