Anchor Baptist has host of activities

Anchor Baptist Church will host several activities through the end of the month at 320 W. Pasadena Road, Millersville.

There will be softball and soccer games for teens from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. The cost is $5. Participants should register and bring a softball glove.

Vacation Bible school will be held from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 31 through Aug. 4 for children ages 4 through sixth grade. The theme will be "The Great Qumran Quest."

A closing program will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 6 for the bible study participants. Registration is required. Information: 410-647-9614

Grace Baptist holds day of fun for kids

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach will have a Children's Day and vacation Bible school fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at 17 Somerset Road, Pasadena.

This event will consist of games, ring toss, face painting, miniature golf, prizes, hot dogs, drinks and more.

Riva Trace Baptist holds sports camp

Riva Trace Baptist Church will hold its first summer sports camp from 9 a.m. to noon daily next week and July 31 to Aug. 4 at 2990 Riva Trace Parkway, Annapolis.

Summer camp is open to children entering first grade through fifth grade.

Participants will learn teamwork and sportsmanship.

Grace Baptist sets vacation bible school

Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach will hold its vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. July 30 to Aug. 4 at 17 Somerset Road, Pasadena.

This year's theme is "The Arctic Edge."

St. Phillips to hold crab feast July 29

St. Phillips Episcopal Church will host its annual Crab Feast from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 29 at 730 Bestgate Road, Annapolis.

The feast will include a meal and beverage.

Dessert will be available at the bake sale.

The proceeds will benefit St. Phillips Family Life Center and community events.

The cost is $45 for adults and $20 for children ages 7 to 12. Advance sale tickets will be discounted.

Pasadena United's Bible study is July 31

Pasadena United Methodist Church will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon daily July 31 to Aug. 4 at 61 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena.

The theme of this year's bible study is "Adventure of the Treasure Seekers."

The cost is $5 per child and open to children ages 4 to 11.

Eastport United set for Peach Festival

The Eastport United Methodist Church will be have its 31st Annual Peach Festival and flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 5 in the Fellowship hall at 926 Bay Ridge Ave., Annapolis.

The craft boutique sale and bake sale will be from noon until 5 p.m.

Carryout dinners will be available.

The cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children younger than 12.

Advance sales will be taken for peach cakes or pickled beets.

Jenkins Memorial `Treasure' slated

Jenkins Memorial Church will present "Adventure of the Treasure Seekers" summer vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 to 11 at 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena.

This lesson will incorporate the world of archaeology into Bible study. There will be daily digs during the "adventure," so children may explore the Bible and locate Scriptures.

Anchor Baptist Church will host a summer camp Aug. 14 through Aug. 18 at Camp Calvary. The cost is $25 and is nonrefundable.

Pit beef, yard sale will be held Aug. 12

A pit beef sandwich sale and a yard sale will be held Aug. 12 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer to raise money for the Arundel House of Hope Resource & Day Care Center.

The yard sale starts at 8 a.m., and sandwiches will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is at 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie.

The final sandwich and yard sale will be held Sept. 9.

The cost will be $4 for a sandwich or $5 for a meal, which includes chips and a beverage.
