Museum's 40th

The lowdown -- In celebration of its 40th anniversary, the Carroll County Farm Museum will throw a Surf & Turf Festival on Saturday. The festival features Maryland seafood, land-lovers' cuisine, beer, crafts, live music, farmhouse tours, exhibits, seminars and more.

If you go -- The festival runs noon-7 p.m. Saturday. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for people 7-18 and older than 60, and free for those 6 and younger. No pets or alcoholic drinks may be brought onto museum grounds. The Carroll County Farm Museum is at 500 S. Center St. in Westminster. Sandy soccer

The lowdown -- If the World Cup re-lit your childhood soccer spark, head to Rash Field this weekend for the Bash at Rash: two days of soccer tournaments, demonstrations and clinics with pros. Every team that registers is guaranteed three games on the sandy beach (most people play barefoot). Age groups range from younger than 10 to adult.

If you go -- Bash at Rash runs 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Rash Field in the Inner Harbor. The clinics and demonstrations are free. Registration for a team of up to seven players is $225. Call 410-962-7070 or visit asgsports.com.

Wiffleball

The lowdown -- Throw on some sneakers and bring your game face Saturday to Wiffle-Up's wiffleball tournament, part of a 15-city summer tour. The tournament will crown one Baltimore champion, who wins a cash prize. The top four teams play in the Wiffle Up World Championship Tournament this fall in Connecticut. Each team gets to play at least three games and choose between Medium Pitch or Fast divisions. The registration deadline is today.

If you go -- Check-in for players is at 9:15 a.m., and the tournament starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Randazzo Softball Complex, 584 Upton Road in Severn.
