Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Homicide arrest -- Taavon Johnson, 28, was arrested Thursday at his home in the 200 block of Diener Place by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on warrants charging him with first-degree murder and attempted murder in the fatal shooting of Dawnta Daney, 18, and the wounding of Chris Hebbons, 22, in the 1300 block of Kitmore Road on Jan. 16, 2002. Johnson was being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.


Arrests -- Pamela White, 51, and her daughter, Christine White, 27, were arrested Saturday at their home in the 1000 block of N. Ellamont St. on warrants charging them with arson and attempting to defraud the Maryland Automobile Insurance Fund. The women are accused of setting fire to their cars in the 2500 block of Mosher St. on June 7 and filing a claim with MAIF.


Officer assaulted/arrest -- Officer William Rivera was questioning a male suspect in an aggravated assault in about 6 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Park Ave., and the officer was shoved by the man when he ordered him to sit on a curb. The 32-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with assaulting an officer.


Stolen vehicle -- A purple four-door 2000 Dodge Neon with tags GFX 718 was stolen Friday in the 5000 block of Wright Ave.


Stolen vehicle -- Police were seeking a blue four-door 1998 Ford Festiva with tags TNW 179 stolen Sunday in the 3900 block of Beech Avenue.


Burglary -- A refrigerator, microwave oven and stove -- valued together at $1,200 -- were stolen from a house in the 300 block of S. Monroe St. between July 1 and Saturday.

Armed robbery -- Police were seeking a gunman who robbed Burger King about 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of W. Patapsco Ave.

Stolen vehicle -- A camouflage-colored 1993 Kawasaki KRL-650 motorcycle with Florida tag 63595J was stolen over the weekend in the 300 block of E. Fort Ave.

Stolen vehicle -- A 2002 gray four-door Hyundai Accent with tags 4AH F64 was stolen Saturday in the 2700 block of Northshire Drive.

Stolen vehicle -- A 2001 GMC truck with tags 74P 335 was stolen over the weekend in the 2800 block of Annapolis Road, where it was being repaired.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Theft -- A 52-foot-long trailer, Massachusetts tag 0752175, containing sports equipment valued at $100,000 was stolen over the weekend from the White Marsh Mall parking lot.


Robbery -- An 11-year-old boy was walking along Milford Mill Road near Milton Road about noon Sunday when two older males robbed him of his hand-held PlayStation valued at $200.
