Rodrigo Lopez's 2006 season has seemed like a miniature reflection of his team's.

He has struggled more than he has thrived. The talk around town says he might be discarded soon. But every so often, when all the tidings seem dire, Lopez pitches a terrific game as he did yesterday against the Texas Rangers.
