Surf & Turf festival at Farm Museum

The Carroll County Farm Museum will hold its Surf & Turf Festival from noon to 7 p.m. Saturday on the grounds at 500 S. Center St., Westminster.

This festival is new for the museum's 40th anniversary.

The event will combine Maryland seafood and beef cuisine with musical entertainment, demonstrations, craft vendors and educational seminars.

The Knights of Columbus, Westminster Council 1393, will provide beer sales.

Beach music will be performed on stage all day.

The entertainment line-up starts at noon with Oasis, followed by 3 Tequila Dance at 1 p.m., Hula Monsters at 2 p.m., Walter Jay & Texas Flood at 3 p.m., Back Pages Band at 4 p.m., Salem Bottom Boys at 5 p.m. and Never Never Band at 6 p.m.

The art of making crab pots will be demonstrated, and outdoor grilling and cooking seminars will be held between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Displays will include vintage street rods by Street Cars of Desire, RVs by Charlie's Campers and new cars from Bohn Pontiac.

The Maryland Beef Queen will visit, and the Carroll County Arts Guild will hold a show and sale.

The museum buildings will be open for tours, as well as the gift shop.

Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for ages 7-18 and 60 and older; and free for age 6 and younger with a paying adult.
