DR. HALCOLM S. BAILEY, age 89, Doctor of Pharmacy, died Friday, July 14, 2006 at his home in Ocean City. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Harry and Mabel South Bailey. He is survived by his wife Joan Truitt Bailey and daughters Suzanne Stein and her husband Phillip of Washington, DC and St. Michael's, MD, Bonnie Hornung and her husband Stephen of Salisbury, Alison Rodriguez and her husband Zachary of Salisbury, and son John R. Trader of Ocean City. There are nine grandchildren. Dr. Bailey had been the owner, operator and pharmacist at Bailey's Pharmacy in Ocean City since 1951, he retired in 1973. He was a WWII Army veteran where he served in the Counter Intelligence Corps. He started the first lab for drug analyzation in the 1950's working with the Ocean City Police Department and later the Maryland State Police. He was a member of the Sinepuxent American Legion Post #166 in Ocean City, Evergreen Masonic Lodge #153 AF & AM, a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Boumi Temple Shrine. He was a Past President of the Ocean City Chamber of Commerce. A masonic service will be held on Monday, July 17, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin, Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow with military honors at Sunset Memorial Park in Berlin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Worcester County Humane Society, P.O.
