Anchor Baptist to host activities

Anchor Baptist Church will host several activities this month at 320 W. Pasadena Road, Millersville.

There will be a free car wash from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow at Jones Station Road and Ritchie Highway, in Severna Park. This will benefit teens participating in the mission trip to Peru.

There will be a softball and soccer game from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 21 for teens. It will include food. The cost is $5. Participants should register and take a softball glove.

Vacation Bible school will be held from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. July 31 through August 4. The theme will be "The Great Qumran Quest." Registration is required.

Healing workshop is tomorrow

Our Lady of the Chesapeake will present a healing workshop from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow at 8325 Ventnor Road, Pasadena.

The seminar, "Healing the Hurts We Don't Deserve," will teach about self-healing and forgiveness.

Refreshments will be served. Registration and check-in will begin at 9:15 a.m. The cost is $25, and participants are encouraged to take a notebook and Bible. All denominations are welcome.

Riva Trace Baptist to hold sports camp

Riva Trace Baptist Church will hold its first summer sports camp from 9 a.m. to noon daily Monday to July 21, July 24 to 28 and July 31 to Aug. 4 at 2990 Riva Trace Parkway, Annapolis.

Summer camp is open to children entering first grade through fifth grade.

Participants will learn about teamwork, sportsmanship and building character.

Pasadena United sets Bible school

Pasadena United Methodist Church will hold vacation Bible school from 9 a.m. to noon daily July 31 to Aug. 4 at 61 Ritchie Highway, Pasadena.

The theme of this year's Bible study is "Adventure of the Treasure Seekers."

The cost is $5 per child and open to children ages 4 to 11.

Heritage Baptist to hold Bible school

Vacation Bible school will be held at Heritage Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday to July 21 at 1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis.

Vacation Bible school is open to school-age children up to fifth grade.

Bible school will include art, recreation, music and Bible study and will include snacks.

Participants in first through fifth grades will receive free T-shirts and a chance to perform in the grand finale July 21.

This event is free. Registration is required.

St. Phillips Episcopal to host crab feast

St. Phillips Episcopal Church will host its annual crab feast from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. July 29 at 730 Bestgate Road, Annapolis.

The feast will include a meal and beverages.

Dessert will be available at the bake sale.

The proceeds will benefit the St. Phillips Family Life Center and community events.

The cost is $45 for adults and $20 for children age 7 to 12. Advance sale tickets will be discounted.

No carryout is available.

A Bible adventure at Jenkins Memorial

Jenkins Memorial Church will present Adventure of the Treasure Seekers summer vacation Bible school from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 7 to 11 at 133 Riviera Drive, Pasadena. This lesson will incorporate the world of archaeology into Bible study. There will be daily digs during the "adventure" so children can explore the Bible and locate Scriptures.

Anchor Baptist Church will host a summer camp Aug. 14 to Aug. 18 at Camp Calvary. The cost is $25 and is nonrefundable. Registration is required.

Pit beef, yard sale will be Aug. 12

A pit beef sandwich sale and a yard sale will be held Aug. 12 at the Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer to raise money for the Arundel House of Hope Resource & Day Care Center.

The yard sale starts at 8 a.m., and sandwiches will be available from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is at 7606 Quarterfield Road, Glen Burnie.

The final sandwich and yard sale will be held Sept. 9.

The cost will be $4 for a sandwich or $5 for a meal, which includes chips and a beverage.

St. Andrew's holds Saturday yard sales

St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 4 Wallace Manor Road, Edgewater, will hold its weekly indoor yard sale from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow.

Spaces are $10 for a 10-by-10-foot space, and vendors must provide their own tables.
