Israeli troops enter Lebanon

Israel sent tanks, troops and aircraft into southern Lebanon after Hezbollah fighters crossed into Israel and kidnapped two Israeli soldiers, opening a second front in the battles between Israel and Islamic militants. pg 1a

BRAC could bring 45,000 jobs

In a draft report prepared for the state Department of Business and Economic Development, Towson University's research and consulting arm forecasts that the national military base shuffling ordered last year could yield more than 45,000 jobs for the state - many of them high-paying civilian military and defense contractor positions moving to Aberdeen Proving Ground and Fort Meade. pg 1A

Regulating gun dealers

Although his store's firearms dealer license was revoked by federal officials, owner Sanford Abrams - a board member of the National Rifle Association - won a concession from prosecutors to allow the sale of more than 700 guns from its inventory.
