Cycle trek

The lowdown -- The 18th Cycle Across Maryland tour starts today and goes through Sunday. Participants take 15-, 30-, 60- and 100-mile rides to various locations on the Eastern Shore, including Snow Hill, Nassawango Furnace, Trap Pond State Park and Crisfield. Delmarva Low Impact Tourism Experiences will give nature tours.

If you go -- The 18th annual bike tours start at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne. Registration begins each day at 7 a.m. and costs $45 per day. Call 410-790- 9913 or visit onelesscar.org.

Twilight run

The lowdown -- The Rockville Rotary Twilight Runfest and Twilighter Festival will be held Saturday night. A block party at the Town Center starts at 7 p.m. with refreshments and live entertainment. The Runfest features an 8K race and a 1K fun run, both of which will raise money for youths in low-income families to participate in city recreation programs.

If you go -- The 8K race starts at 8:45 p.m., and the 1K fun run starts at 8:50 p.m., both at North Washington Street and East Middle Lane. The 8K race fee is $27 by 4 p.m. Saturday and $35 after 6 p.m. The 1K race fee is $10. Call 240-314-5028 or visit mcrrc.org/ twilighter.

Celebrity softball

The lowdown -- The Allen Iverson Celebrity Softball Classic returns to Prince George's Stadium in Bowie on Saturday. Celebrities scheduled to appear are NBA stars Iverson, Gibert Arena and Lebron James, NFL star Vernon Davis, as well as entertainers Martin Lawrence, Nelly and Bow Wow. The event benefits Iverson's Crossover Foundation, which aims to help improve and address the health, educational and social needs of inner-city youths in the Mid-Atlantic Region.

If you go -- The event starts at 7:30 p.m. Reserved box seat tickets are $22, and general admission tickets are $12. The stadium is at 4101 Northeast Crain Highway, near U.S. 50 and U.S. 301 South. Call 301-464-4865 or visit baysox.com.

All Good Festival

The lowdown -- The 10th annual All Good Festival hits Marvin's Mountaintop in Masontown, W.Va., this weekend. The festival features more than 20 bands on two stages with no overlapping sets. The lineup includes the Black Crowes, Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon with the Benevento/Russo Duo, Ween, Les Claypool, the Wailers, Baltimore's the Bridge, Virginia roots reggae quintet Soldiers of Jah Army and many more. The pre-party kicks off tonight with the Boogie Hustlers, Virginia Coalition, Brothers Past and East Star Allstars.
