Question Of The Day

The Kickoff

July 12, 2006

Should home-field advantage in the World Series be decided by the All-Star Game?

Better to let the All-Star Game decide something rather than leaving it as a tie game, otherwise, why even bother playing it?

Michael Block

Something as important as World Series home-field advantage should not be decided by a ballot-box stuffed popularity contest. If Bud Selig thought the All-Star Game was so critically important, he wouldn't have ended one in a tie.

Michael S. Herman Sr.

Baldwin

No. The game is an exhibition, with no connection to the World Series. Give home-field advantage to the team with the best record. That will encourage teams to play hard for 162 games, even if they have a playoff spot locked up.
