Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Kidnapping/arrest -- David Piccione, 26, of the first block of Blue Spire Circle in Middle River was arrested last night at a Harford County motel and charged with kidnapping and assaulting his girlfriend, a 25-year-old from Glen Burnie. The woman was arguing with a man outside a Citgo station in the 6300 block of Efficiency Way, near Curtis Bay, about 2 a.m. yesterday when she is alleged to have been forced into the man's car and driven away. An investigation led police to the motel and an arrest 16 hours later. The woman was unharmed.

Theft -- A blue mountain bike was stolen Sunday when its owner left it unattended in Carroll Park in the 1500 block of Washington Blvd.

Burglary -- Someone broke into Gas & Go in the 800 block of W. Patapsco Ave. through an air vent in the roof Sunday and attempted to break into an automated teller machine. The intruder also damaged a surveillance camera. Nothing appeared missing.

Burglary -- A guitar valued at $1,200 was stolen over the weekend from a house in the 3500 block of Horton Ave.

Burglary -- A woman was sleeping on a couch in her home in the 1200 block of Cleveland St. about 6 a.m. Sunday when she was awakened by a partially clothed man standing over her. The man fled, taking $67 and two bank cards.

Theft -- A 2006 Acura was parked in the 1300 block of Covington St. on Sunday when someone broke into the vehicle and stole $60.


Arrest -- Rendell R. Wilkens, 17, was arrested yesterday at his home in the 2600 block of Dulany St. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him as an adult with attempted murder. Wilkens is accused of attempting to kill Jamal Ben on June 18 in the 500 block of Eastlynne Ave.


Assault -- Police were seeking the male driver of a gold-colored 2000 Cadillac who ran down a 22-year-old man in the 2500 block of Madison Ave. about 4 p.m. Monday. The victim was treated at Sinai Hospital for a broken right leg. Police said the men knew one another.

Burglary -- Three keyboards, 24 boxes of latex gloves, bottles of medicinal alcohol and tissues - all valued at $387 - were stolen over the weekend from a storage room at Total Health Care in the 1500 block of Division St.

Theft -- Carpentry tools of unknown value were stolen between Friday and Monday from a 2000 Ford van in the 700 block of Reservoir St.


Theft -- A cell phone was stolen Monday from the console of a 2003 Toyota Camry parked in the 6100 block of Westcliff Drive.

Baltimore County


Armed robbery -- Two men, one with a handgun, robbed an 18-year-old of cigarettes and a lighter about 11:15 p.m. Sunday on Oakland Road near the Interstate 95 overpass. The victim knew his assailants and was not co- operating with police.

Shooting -- Police were seeking the driver of a car who shot a 19-year-old man in the stomach as the victim walked in the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle about 8 p.m. Sunday. He was treated at St. Agnes Hospital.


Robbery -- Two men, one with a handgun, forced their way into an apartment in the 900 block of Holgate Drive about 11 p.m. Sunday and robbed two occupants of two cell phones, each valued at $200.
