Baltimore

Northeastern

Victim identified -- Police yesterday named Irvin Conley, 24, whose address was not available, as the man fatally stabbed Tuesday night while he and another man tried to break up a fight in the 4300 block of Glenmore Ave.

Central

Theft/arrest -- Alphonso Russell, 49, of the 3600 block of W. Franklin St., was arrested Wednesday and charged with stealing a cell phone and electric drill that day from a 2005 Chevrolet truck parked in the 400 block of W. Lexington St. The items were valued at $750.

Northern

Burglary -- A laptop computer valued at $1,500 was stolen Tuesday from the bedroom of a house in the 300 block of E. University Parkway.

Southern

Theft -- Metal scaffolding valued at $30,000 was stolen from a construction site in the 1400 block of Key Highway between June 29 and Wednesday.

Robbery -- A 46-year-old man was walking in the 3000 block of Seabury Ave. about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday when a teenager with a gun robbed him of a cell phone valued at $150.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville

Burglary -- Police were seeking a man who entered Royal Farms in the 500 block of Seminary Ave. early Wednesday after shattering a glass door and stole 10 cartons of cigarettes and a quantity of cigars - all valued at $520. Damage to the door was estimated at $1,000.

Wilkens

Attempted robbery -- Two men, one with a handgun, entered the Citgo station in the 2800 block of Hammonds Ferry Road about 12:10 a.m. Wednesday and told two clerks to give them money from the cash register. They fled when one of the clerks picked up a phone to call police.
