`Young B.A.s of Baltimore'

Mary Jo Gordon, who owns Galerie Francoise et Ses Freres in Lutherville, recently decided to convert storage area into a second gallery in Baltimore. The reason? A large chandelier made of macaroni.

When Gordon saw the piece, by Alia Diaz, she yearned to show it, but didn't have the room in Lutherville. Then she thought of her storage space in the city.

"I said, `If I cleared it out, it would be so great," Gordon said.

Galerie Francoise II, at 3500 Parkdale Ave., Suite 22, will officially open Sunday. The inaugural exhibit, Young B.A.s of Baltimore, features works by recent Maryland Institute College of Art graduates Diaz, Abbi Jacobson, Sam Miller and Chelsey Bence. There will be a reception in early August. Hours are 9:30 a.m.-noon Tuesdays-Saturdays and noon-4 p.m. Sundays. Call 443-632-4785 or visit
