Man found shot in Roland Park

An adult male was shot in the head last night in Northeast Baltimore but found near Cold Spring Lane and Roland Avenue, according to Donny Moses, a Baltimore Police Department spokesman. Moses said the shooting occurred at Northwick and Welbourne roads but that the victim drove himself to Roland Park. He was later pronounced dead, according to Detective Frederick Daum of the Baltimore Homicide Unit. The police did not release the victim's name. Police were called to the Roland Avenue intersection at 10:44 p.m., Moses said. He did not say whether the man was declared dead at the scene.

O'Malley to speak at club meeting

The South Carroll Democratic Club will meet at 7 p.m. tomorrow at South Carroll Senior Center, 5745 Bartholow Road. The speaker will be Baltimore mayor and gubernatorial candidate Martin O'Malley.
