Brothers plead guilty to theft of electronics

Two brothers from Brooklyn pleaded guilty yesterday to stealing high-end electronics items from retail stores in Maryland and Pennsylvania

Anthony Todisco, 24, and his brother Jerry, 29, pleaded guilty to federal charges of interstate transportation of stolen property. According to the statement of facts presented at their guilty pleas, Anthony and Jerry Todisco and others who prosecutors said are still fugitives committed a string of burglaries resulting in more than $400,000 in property losses between 2002 and 2004.

One of the burglaries occurred Dec. 13, 2004, at the Ritz Camera store on Merritt Boulevard in Baltimore County. The stolen merchandise was transported to Pennsylvania.

The brothers could receive a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison when they appear Aug. 28 in front of U.S. District Judge Andre M. Davis. They remain in state custody on related charges.
