Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Robbery -- A 23-year-old man was walking from a parking lot near Sharp and Henrietta streets about 7:10 p.m. Tuesday when he was accosted from behind by three youths. One wrapped his hand around the victim's neck while another rifled though his pockets. The robbers took $260 and punched the man in the left eye three times before fleeing.

Armed robbery -- A 29-year-old man parked his car in the 800 block of E. Patapsco Ave. about 4:25 p.m. Wednesday and was approached by a man who put a knife to his neck. The robber made off with $120.

Attempted burglary -- Someone kicked in a rear door to a house in the 1100 block of Sargeant St. about 7:45 a.m. Tuesday. A 37-year-old woman in the home heard the noise and stood at the top of the stairs. The intruder approached, made eye contact and fled without stealing anything.


Armed robbery -- A 19-year-old man walking in the 400 block of N. Castle St. about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday was accosted by two men -- one armed with a handgun. The victim was pulled into an alley and was ordered to hand over his cell phone, keys and $150. The robbers stripped him of his clothes. He suffered a cut on his head during the attack and was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Robbery -- A 23-year-old man was walking in the 1500 block of E. North Ave. about 3 a.m. Tuesday when he was accosted by four men. They knocked him to the ground, kicked and punched him and took a cell phone, wallet and $10.

Theft -- Someone broke into a parked Chevy van in the 1500 block of Aisquith St. between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. Tuesday and removed a CD radio valued at $220.

Baltimore County


Home invasion -- Three men -- two armed with handguns -- forced their way into a home in the 3400 block of Vargis Circle about 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the men knocked on the door and told the two occupants, a 26-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, that they accidentally hit their car. Police said the three then forced their way inside and robbed the couple of $2,500, two digital cameras and electrical equipment.


Armed robbery -- An 18-year-old woman walking near Deneison Street and York Road about 5:45 p.m. Wednesday was approached by a group of men who got out of a car, one of them brandishing a switchblade knife. The woman was robbed of $5, and the men got back into the car and rode away.

Bank robbery -- Two men dressed in black hats and dark clothing approached a teller at the Baltimore County Savings Bank in the 5100 block of Campbell Blvd. about 10:05 a.m. Wednesday and demanded money. The robbers said they had a bomb in a book bag that would trigger if an alarm sounded. The teller handed over an unknown sum of money, and the pair fled.
