These fast-paced days, even 15 minutes of fame can seem a bit much. In fact, a group of writers intends to prove tonight that all each needs is 10 minutes on stage.

The 10 Minute Play Showcase is the culmination of a seven-week workshop conducted by Creative Alliance writer-in-residence Christine Stewart and Mobtown Players artistic director Ryan Whinnem. The workshop's writers, many of whom had no experience as playwrights, have crafted works to be big on creativity but easy on the attention span.

10 Minute Play Showcase Presented by the Creative Alliance and Mobtown Players, 7 p.m. tonight at the Patterson, 3134 Eastern Ave. Suggested $3 donation. For reservations or more information: 410-276-1651.
