Ottobar's prom

The lowdown -- Put on your tackiest 1980s prom attire tomorrow and dance the night away at the Ottobar's second annual '80s Prom. Enjoy 1980s music and videos and even get your prom picture taken. Get your tickets in advance because last year's prom sold out.

If you go -- Doors to the prom open at 9 p.m. tomorrow at the Ottobar, 2549 N. Howard St. $1 drink specials until 10 p.m. Ages 18 and older. Tickets are $7 for singles, $12 for couples. Tickets available at the Ottobar, at Reptilian Records at 403 S. Broadway, or at theotto bar.com.

CD release party

The lowdown -- Join Baltimore-native rock band Black Eyed Susan for the release party of its new CD, Songs From the Bottom, at 8 p.m. tomorrow at Recher Theatre in Towson. Black Eyed Susan tours nationally and is back in town for one night only. Warm-up bands include the Grilled Lincolns and the Gonzo Circus.

If you go -- Doors open at 8 p.m. tomorrow for the show, which will start around 9 at the Recher Theatre, 512 York Road. Tickets are $7, with a $3 additional charge for those younger than 21. Independence night

The lowdown -- Sunday night is the Hamilton Arts Collective's "Night of Freakin' Independence" on Harford Street, an event that combines music, theater and multimedia into one eclectic evening. Performers include the Athens Boys Choir, a spoken word and multimedia group, and Heidi Hensley, a rock/alternative country musician.
