Maryanne Cecilia Knott, 64, homemaker, traveler

Maryanne Cecilia Knott, a homemaker who enjoyed travel, died of cancer complications Sunday at her Lutherville home. She was 64.

Born Maryanne Cecilia Hamman in Baltimore and raised in the Homeland section, she was a 1959 graduate of Notre Dame Preparatory School and earned an associate's degree at Villa Julie College. She was the niece of the late Herbert R. O'Conor, a Maryland governor and U.S. senator.

In 1961, she married Henry J. Knott Jr., a philanthropist and developer who died in 2001.

Mrs. Knott enjoyed cooking and entertaining her family. She made many trips to Bermuda, where she had spent her honeymoon.

A funeral Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5300 N. Charles St., where she was a member.

Survivors include two sons, Henry J. Knott III of Lutherville and Mark O'Conor Knott of Reisterstown; three daughters, Maureen Knott Webster of Potomac, Marion Isabel Knott of Lutherville and Helen Knott Vogel of Ruxton; a sister, M. Helen Boote of Lutherville; and 11 grandchildren.
