Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. plans to launch his re-election bid today with a triumphant rally at his boyhood home, returning to the spot where he announced his candidacy four years ago to trumpet the promises he has kept and progress he has made.
But despite the governor's historic win as the state's first Republican executive in years, the past four years have proven Ehrlich alone cannot completely change the state's direction.
