HARFORD SCHOOL BOARD -- The Harford County Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. at 102 S. Hickory Ave., Bel Air. Items on the agenda include the awarding of contracts and a revised cell phone policy. 410-588-5203.

TOMORROW

SUMMER CONCERT -- The 2006 Aberdeen Free Summer Concert Series will begin at 7 p.m. with a performance by the Paul Howshall Trio in Festival Park at Howard and Franklin streets. In case of inclement weather, concerts will be at Aberdeen Middle School. 410-939-6767.

PIKESVILLE MARKET -- The Pikesville Farmer's Market will open for the season from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the Walker Avenue side of the Pikesville library parking lot. The market, which is run by the Pikesville Chamber of Commerce, will operate Tuesdays through Oct. 31. 410-484-2337.

LUNCHTIME CONCERTS -- The Columbia Association's free lunchtime concert series at Lake Kittamaqundi will feature the Julie Hall Trio from noon to 2 p.m. 410-715-3120.

ARBORIST TO SPEAK -- City Arborist Rebecca Feldberg will speak at the annual meeting of Friends of Mount Vernon Place at 6 p.m. at 11 W. Mount Vernon Place. Feldberg will discuss the city's plan to increase its canopy of trees. Tickets are $15. 410-433-0354.

THURSDAY

PAL FIELD DAY -- The Maryland Police Athletic League will hold a track and field day at 10 a.m. at Edgewood High School, 2415 Willoughby Beach Road, Edgewood. PAL members from Laurel, Baltimore City and Baltimore, Frederick, Harford and Montgomery counties will compete in track and field events.

FRIDAY

DUNDALK FAIR -- The 31st annual Dundalk Heritage Fair will take place from noon to 9:30 p.m. at Heritage Park on Playfield Road and will continue during those hours Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $4, with children under 12 free. 410-284-4022.

MUSIC AT THE SQUARE -- The Sounds at the Square, a weekly Friday concert series, will feature the band Blues Therapy from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Belvedere Square, York Road and Northern Parkway. Admission is free. 443-573-4466 or www.belvederesquare.com.

SATURDAY

BASKETBALL FESTIVAL -- NBA star Carmelo Anthony will host a youth basketball tournament and a Family Day festival at the Cloverdale Courts, Cloverdale Avenue and McCulloh Street. The tournament will start at 10 a.m. and the festival will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

HOLIDAY CELEBRATION -- The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra's third annual Fourth of July spectacular will be held at Anne Arundel Community College's Siegert Field, 101 College Parkway, Arnold. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the Rob Levit Trio, followed by the symphony orchestra at 8 p.m. and will conclude with a 20-minute fireworks display. Admission and parking are free.
