`Makin' Music' sets classes for children
"Makin' Music Rockin' Rhythms" is an award-winning program of energizing, toe-tapping tunes and age-appropriate movement for newborns to 5-year-olds.
The program offers interactive classes, birthday parties and performances featuring songs, live guitar, props and rhythm instruments.
A six-week mini session featuring 45-minute classes will be held Thursday through Aug. 4 at Makin' Music's Bel Air location, 309 Thomas Run Road.
Each family will receive a session compact disc and corresponding song book, which is included in the session fee of $85 ($50 for a second child in the same class).

Model railroaders to show work in Pa.
Model railroaders from Harford Community College will participate in the National Model Railroad Association's National Train Show in Philadelphia from July 2-9.
A showcase for model railroaders, the event enables avid model railroaders from across the country to display their projects. All HCC modules being displayed got their start in the college's"Model Railroading: Construction" class.
The college's display measures 80-feet by 80-feet, but will be transported in smaller 4-foot by 2-foot modules. Each component will be linked to others to span the Philadelphia Convention Center.
The college will hold a Model Railroading Open House from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 9 in Edgewood Hall.
