Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Robbery -- Police were seeking a man and a woman who attacked a 29-year-old woman in the 200 block of W. Monument St. about 6:20 p.m. Wednesday and stole her purse. The victim was walking when she was assaulted from behind by the pair, one of whom struck her in the face. The robbers fled with the purse containing $40, a cell phone and other property. Two hours later, the victim went to University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment of facial injuries.


Theft -- Two power drills were stolen Wednesday from a BGE truck parked in the 1200 block of N. Bond St. They were valued at $350.

Stolen vehicle -- A gold-colored 1989 Chrysler van with Chesapeake Bay tags 06468CH was stolen Wednesday in the 1700 block of Edison Highway.

Stolen scooter -- A white motor scooter valued at nearly $1,000 was stolen Wednesday in the 800 block of N. Glover St.

Burglary -- A hand-held computer valued at $250 was stolen Wednesday from a Johns Hopkins medical institutions building in the 500 block of N. Washington St.

Burglary -- Someone broke into a house in the 900 block of E. Preston St. on Tuesday and stole a furnace and ductwork.

Theft -- More than a dozen steel plates used for welding were stolen Tuesday from the driveway of Dex Welding Co. in the 3500 block of E. Biddle St.


Assault -- A 25-year-old woman and her former boyfriend were arguing in the 2100 block of Sidney Ave. about 10 a.m. Tuesday when the man pulled a handgun and pointed it at her. When she drove off in her car, the man threw a rock that shattered the vehicle's rear window.

Stolen vehicle -- A white four-door 1996 Jeep Cherokee with Delaware tags PC109075 was stolen Tuesday in the 200 block of E. Fort Ave.

Burglary -- A 13-inch TV, an air compressor and a battery charger -- all valued at more than $600 -- were stolen Tuesday from a garage in the 900 block of William St.

Stolen vehicle -- A red 2000 Kia Sportage with New Jersey tags SYL 50R was stolen Tuesday in the 100 block of E. West St.


Burglary -- Nearly $2,000 in jewelry and cash were stolen Tuesday from a house in the first block of N. Madeira St. by someone who entered through a door.

Stolen vehicle -- A silver-colored 2000 Chrysler van with tags 378M720 was stolen Tuesday in the 200 block of S. Clinton St.

Baltimore County


Burglary -- A 20-inch TV of unknown value was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 9400 block of Dawn Drive.


Robbery -- Two 14-year-old boys were riding on a bicycle on Hammershire Road about 11 p.m. Tuesday when two other boys robbed them of the bike and a cell phone.

Burglary -- Someone broke into a storage building on the athletic field at Franklin High School on Wednesday and stole three flags, a fire extinguisher, a hand cart and kitchen supplies.

Burglary -- Computer equipment and a radio -- all valued at $210 -- were stolen Wednesday from two cars parked in a garage in the 300 block of Hedge Pocket Way.

Robbery/arrest -- A 39-year-old woman was walking in the first block of Cue Court about 1:30 a.m. Monday when she refused another woman's request for $10 and was robbed of her purse. Arrested a short time later and charged with robbery and drug possession was Yulia Vereshko, 22, of the 100 block of Cherry Hill Road.


Burglary -- Stereo equipment, a watch, jewelry and a digital video disc player were stolen Tuesday from an apartment in the first block of Warren Park Drive.

Burglary/arrests -- Police responding to a break-in at Milford Mill Academy on Washington Avenue about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday entered the building and arrested two teenage boys in a hallway. No property was reported stolen or damaged, and the youths were released to the custody of their parents.

White Marsh

Burglary -- Cash, credit cards and a TV were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 9000 block of Quail Run Drive.

Burglary -- Someone entered a garage in the 5000 block of Red Top Terrace on Wednesday and stole lacrosse equipment, a drill and two bicycles -- all valued at nearly $1,200.

Burglary -- Video games of unknown value were stolen Tuesday from a house in the 100 block of Elinore Ave. by someone who entered through the front door.
