Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore

Northwestern

Homicide arrest -- Duane Elkerson of the 7100 block of Burford Court in Baltimore County was arrested about 10 a.m. yesterday at a motel in the 6700 block of Security Blvd. in Woodlawn by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force. Elkerson, 29, is charged in a warrant with first-degree murder and attempted murder - accused of shooting two men June 10 in the 5500 block of Haddon Ave. Antonio Alford, 22, died at Sinai Hospital. The other victim, Gary Cromwell, 24, survived. Elkerson was being held without bail at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Shooting -- A 46-year-old Baltimore County man was being treated at Sinai Hospital after he was shot once in the stomach about 2 a.m. yesterday during an attempted robbery in the 4800 block of W. Forest Park Ave.

Central

Stolen vehicle -- A 1995 Plymouth sedan with tags MRJ 247 was stolen Monday in the 400 block of W. Franklin St.

Southeastern

Theft/arrest -- A man attempted to leave Rite Aid in the 3800 block of E. Lombard St. about 4:20 p.m. Monday without paying for four bottles of a hair stimulant, and assaulted an employee who tried to stop him. Arrested outside the store and charged with theft and assault was Vattel Lee Rose, 34, whose address was not available.

Robbery -- A 31-year-old man was walking in the 400 block of S. Broadway about 6 a.m. Monday when he was attacked by five men, one armed with a knife, and robbed of $100.

Eastern

Robbery -- A 46-year-old man was riding a motor scooter in the 1400 block of N. Washington St. about 1:30 p.m. Monday when a man shoved him off and stole it. The scooter was valued at $950.

Burglary -- Power tools valued at nearly $1,700 were stolen between June 16 and Monday from the construction site of Our Daily Bread in the 300 block of E. Monument St.

Southern

Burglary -- Two bicycles, video games, a boom-box radio and digital video discs - all valued at nearly $1,800 - were stolen Monday from a house in the 4500 block of Seventh St. in Brooklyn.

Stolen vehicle -- A 2004 Audi with tags 9AH ZO7 was stolen over the weekend in the 1200 block of S. Hanover St.

Baltimore County

White Marsh

Robbery -- A woman, 26, was walking along Broadship Road about 8 p.m. Monday when a man struck her in the face and stole her purse containing cash and property.
