Marlins update

Florida comes to town on an eight-game winning streak, though the Marlins sit tied for third place with Washington 12 1/2 games back in the National League East. This is their first meeting with the Orioles since 2001. Third baseman Miguel Cabrera is Florida's leading hitter with a .342 average, 10 homers and 45 RBIs. Rookie second baseman Dan Uggla has been a major surprise with a .314 average and a team-high 12 homers. Fellow rookie Hanley Ramirez, acquired from the Boston Red Sox in the offseason, leads the Marlins with 20 steals and 51 runs scored. The Marlins rank fifth in the National League with a 4.29 team ERA.
