Bonus for old-school travelers

Travelers seem to be divided into two camps when it comes to carrying money. The cavalier set travels with an ATM card and nothing else. American Express is rewarding the cautious set with its new American Express Discount Card, available through Aug. 31 with the purchase of $500 worth of its traveler's checks. The card offers discounts on travel and leisure purchases, including hotel stays, airline tickets and restaurants that are available only online.
