Margaret Diggs packed for more than just the end of the school year yesterday as she sat in the computer laboratory at Elmer A. Henderson Elementary School.

The 66-year-old computer instructor surveyed the room of boxes stuffed with pictures and 38 years of memories, on the verge of tears.

FOR THE RECORD - An article Wednesday about the closing of Elmer A. Henderson Elementary incorrectly reported the amount of space being cut in city schools and the number of students it will affect. Space will be reduced by 3 percent to 4 percent, and 4,100 students will be affected.
The Sun regrets the errors.
