Scott Urick had four goals to lead 11 scorers in a record-tying performance as the New Jersey Pride defeated the Bayhawks, 22-15, yesterday before 2,499 at Rutgers University's Yurcak Field in Piscataway, N.J.

The victory was the Pride's first against their Eastern Conference rivals since June 29, 2002, in a 22-17 win at Commerce Bank Ballpark. "New Jersey is a much better team than in the past two seasons," Bayhawks coach Scott Hiller said. "They have really improved this year and it showed today against us."

The point total tied the team record for highest-scoring single-game total.

Urick has 19 points this season (14 goals, five assists).

New Jersey (3-1) led 12-4 at the half before the Bayhawks (1-3) pulled within 16-13 after the third. The Pride answered with six goals in the fourth period, during which the Bayhawks scored only twice.

Attackman Tom Marechek led the Bayhawks with three goals, including a two-pointer, and two assists. Midfielder Neal Goldman and attackman Matt Ward each scored two goals, including a two-pointer.
