TODAY

CITY TAXES -- The Board of Estimates will meet at 5 p.m. to set the Baltimore property tax rate for the fiscal year that begins July 1. The meeting will be in the Pressman boardroom at City Hall, 100 N. Holliday St.

TOMORROW

BALTIMORE COUNTY SCHOOLS -- The Baltimore County school board will meet at 7:30 p.m. to vote on the proposed 2007-2008 calendar and consider a restructuring plan for Woodlawn Middle School. The meeting will be in the Education Support Services Building on the Greenwood campus, 6901 Charles St., Towson. 410-887-4126.

WEDNESDAY

FLAG DAY -- The 27th annual National Pause for the Pledge of Allegiance on Flag Day will be marked from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, 2400 E. Fort Ave. The program will include a band concert, parade of state flags, entertainment, a fly-over and fireworks. 410-962-4290.

SENIOR FORUM -- The Baltimore Commission on Aging and Retirement Education (CARE) will hold its annual public hearing and senior forum at 10:30 a.m. at the Sandtown-Winchester Senior Center, 1601 Baker St.

THURSDAY

TOWSON MARKET -- The Towson Farmers' Market will open for the season from 11 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Allegheny Avenue between the York Road traffic circle and Washington Avenue. The market, sponsored by the Towson Chamber of Commerce, will operate Thursdays through Nov. 2.

FRIDAY

AFRICAN-AMERICAN FESTIVAL -- The African American Heritage Festival will take place from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. It will continue from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. Admission is free. 410-318-8286 or aahf.net.

SATURDAY

BARK IN THE PARK -- The Humane Society of Baltimore County will holds its annual Bark in the Park from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 1601 Nicodemus Road, Reisterstown. The festival will features games, agility contests, an obstacle course, disc-catching demonstrations and a wellness fair. Admission is $5 per person, $10 for one dog and $7 for each additional dog. 410-833-8848.

NATIVE AMERICAN GAMES -- Oregon Ridge Nature Center will present its Native American Games with Dad program to celebrate Father's Day from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 13555 Beaver Dam Road, Cockeysville. Admission is free, but reservations are required. 410-887-1815.

SUNDAY

JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION -- Juneteenth, which commemorates the freeing of the slaves during the Civil War, will be celebrated at 3 p.m. at Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, 2400 E. Fort Ave. Admission is free. 410-962-4290.
