Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore and Baltimore County.



Shootings -- Several people were standing in the 2700 block of Hugo Ave. about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday when someone in a passing car fired several shots, hitting a man, 35, in the face and a 16-year-old boy in the left foot. Both were reported in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call 410-396-2444.

Stolen vehicle -- A white, four-door 2002 Ford Taurus with tags 8AJ T58 was stolen Wednesday from a parking lot in the 5600 block of Frankford Ave.

Theft -- Tools valued at $500 were stolen Tuesday from a 1995 Chevrolet van parked in the 2400 block of Belair Road.


Arrest -- Kareem Moore of the 1000 block of Vine St. was arrested yesterday in the 200 block of Guilford Ave. by members of the Regional Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a warrant charging him with attempted murder. Moore, 28, is accused of shooting a 38-year-old man in the 1900 block of Booth St. on June 2. He was being held last night at Central Booking and Intake Center.


Shooting -- A 31-year-old man was reported in good condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after he was shot in the right shoulder in the basement of a house in the 600 block of N. Clinton St. about 11 p.m. Wednesday. The victim refused to cooperate with police investigating the incident.

Robbery -- A driver for the Coca-Cola Co. was standing near his truck in the 3700 block of Eastern Ave. about 4 p.m. Wednesday when a man armed with a handgun robbed him of an undisclosed sum of cash.

Robbery -- Police were seeking three teenage boys, one armed with a knife, who attacked a 38-year-old man in the 400 block of S. Castle St. about 10 p.m. Wednesday and robbed him of $30 and a cell phone valued at $120.


Theft -- A pager and several compact discs were stolen Wednesday from a 2006 Jeep parked in the 6000 block of Plummer Ave. They were valued at $150.


Theft -- Someone stole a bag containing a laptop computer that had been left unattended Wednesday on a parking lot in the 700 block of Light St. The computer was valued at $2,000.

Theft -- Someone entered a 2000 Ford Taurus parked in the 1200 block of Covington St. on Wednesday and stole a body-armor vest owned by a U.S. Postal Service police officer.

Cutting -- Two men were in a house in the 1200 block of W. Cross St. on Tuesday night arguing about a woman when one cut the other on both arms with an unknown sharp weapon. The victim was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center. A warrant was issued for his assailant's arrest.

Baltimore County


Burglary -- Someone entered Woodcroft Citgo in the 8600 block of Old Harford Road on Monday night and used a blowtorch and bolt cutters to break open a car-washing machine. An undisclosed sum of cash and coins was taken.


Robbery -- An 18-year-old was sitting on the front steps of a house in the first block of Cue Court about 12:05 a.m. Wednesday when a man armed with a handgun robbed him of $40, a set of keys and a cell phone.

Burglary -- Video games, alcohol, picture frames and jewelry - all valued at $265 - were stolen Wednesday from an apartment in the 200 block of Midpines Court.


Robbery -- A 50-year-old man was leaving a service station in the 900 block of Ingleside Ave. about 4 a.m. Wednesday when another man robbed him of $50.
