Ibekwe withdraws from draft

Maryland forward Ekene Ibekwe has officially withdrawn from the NBA draft, a school spokesman said yesterday.

Ibekwe, who averaged 11.1 points and a team-high 6.6 rebounds in his junior season, is enrolled in school and working out with his teammates at Comcast Center. Ibekwe had put his name on the early-entry list for the experience, with the intention of pulling out before the June 18 deadline.

Former Terps forward Nik Caner-Medley and guard Chris McCray are at the NBA Pre-Draft Camp in at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla. The camp runs through Saturday.
