PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Nick Bisesi

C. Milton Wright

The left-hander finished 9-6, but he had an outstanding postseason and helped the Mustangs reach the Class 4A state finals. Bisesi won three playoff games, defeating Parkville, Sherwood and undefeated Eleanor Roosevelt - all on the road.

Bisesi, whose postseason ERA was 0.75, pitched well in the state final but lost to Arundel, 5-3. He is headed to Chesapeake College, a junior college on the Eastern Shore, where he will pitch next year.

COACH OF THE YEAR

Tony Blackburn

C. Milton Wright

In Blackburn's first season, C. Milton Wright bounced back from a mediocre regular season to make it all the way to the Class 4A state final, winning every game on the road before falling to top-ranked Arundel.

The Mustangs rode the solid postseason pitching of Nick Bisesi, giving Blackburn a memorable debut at C. Milton Wright after eight years coaching at Joppatowne.
